I'm tired.
There's been alot goin' on up north here, and although it's been a rough ride, I'm probably better for it.

I'm no longer a journalism student at Ryerson U, but maybe that's for the best too.

I've been undergoing some pretty serious health concerns, but I've recently started a new treatment which is working wonders, and on that note; things are much better now.
I fully intend on getting back into shooting quite soon.

Photographically, I've been trying some new things...most of which end with mixed results, but I'm still learning. Some of those mixed results are posted, and all feedback is welcome, since I need to learn more and all that sort of stuff helps.

I really want to get back into a pit and shoot some more stuff, and it's coming, but give it a little bit of time. Nothing on my plate at the moment, but hopefully some good things will show up sooner or later. As well, there are some snaps of: Wolfmother, Neverending White Lights and some others on the way.

I also now play in a hardcore/grind/etc. band called the Veil based out of Toronto, which has been a pretty good time thus far and promises to just get better with time. We opened for Fear Before the March of Flames about a week ago, and had a great time hanging out with those dudes.
I'm really excited about our brand new material, and we're heading into the studio this month.
(For those of you into that sort of thing, think Converge.)

I've also been blessed with the support and love of an amazing girl for the past three months, and she's the shit. F'real. Some of the newer "mixed results" stuff, is myself getting bored with a camera and trying out some new things using her as a guinea pig.

...I'm 20 in two weeks. Is it bad that I feel old?

If you like awesome band photography, check out the work of Joey Lawrence. www.joeyl.com. He just did a new round of Japanese promo shots for Protest the Hero and a domestic set for the band These Silhouettes, who're pretty rad. The PTH set is the dirtiest, and most amazing thing I've ever seen, and he instantly makes me want to become a better photographer. Check it.

Anyway...here's to good times and good friends. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

.k.

p.s. The new Means record is amazing. www.myspace.com/means_music

Hi, I'm doing a burlseque/ 50's glamour themed painting, and was wondering if I could use your Dita Von Teese photos as reference? If I put the painting up anywhere, I would obviously credit you. Please get back to me, love your work x
